Dear Supermarket floor,

Today, I dropped someone precious into your hands, and I was wondering if you still have him.

He has floppy ears, with stuffing softer than marshmallow clouds and shiny black eyes--like those jellybeans in the cool-looking candy dispensing thingamajigs.

I asked everyone from the sun in the sky to the crawling little critters in the grass, but for some reason, no one wants to help me find him.

I swear, I didn't mean to lose him at all...I just have a tendency to leave things behind, you see?

Dear Supermarket floor,

I did what you asked me to and begged mother and father for some help. But it's been a while now, and I'm not sure if they were even listening.

 They just keep shouting at each other awfully loud from downstairs, like two furrow-eyed, grumbly thunderclouds.

And to think, whenever another storm erupted, I used to cradle his little body within the warmest hugs before...
