☽ Safety Zone

[image source - Lee Hi (Youtube) ] A story ~ Safety Zone It looks like I learned my lesson. But for what? So you could text me that in the end, y ou still wanted to be friends with me? In your defence,  I asked you tons and tons of questions, just so I could get to know you. I watched you pour on about your passions, your family, your entire life story, just so I could get to know you. I fell deeper and deeper, because I knew more about you. But was all of that enough? In the basement of your best friend's house, the only thing between you and me was the velveteen fur of a smirking kitty, and both of our hands teasing it. That's all it was supposed to be. Nothing more, nothing else. But then, "Why don't we stay here a bit longer?" You said. I almost choked.  That wasn't in the script. "Why?" I asked, cautiously. " ...is it because of me? " I was supposed to say. "Well..." you take a pause, "they can always come down here. And...

→ NEWS: (ꈍᴗꈍ)ε`*) Legacy Projects update

I think there's always this conflict for me as an artist to share my work online because it's nice to get people to see it, but sometimes the pressure of appeasing to what people will and will not like can be a one way ticket for someone to lose their authenticity--which is the path I'd hate to go on. Augmented reality, is somewhat of an undecided middle-man in the era I'm writing in, so I won't address it, for simplicity. One of my most favourite experiences is taking a walk, especially around my neighbourhood. I could breathe in fresh air, wear a nice coat and soak up the sun. I also find it fulfilling to watch the waxy green trees dance in the wind, as if they were waving to me. And, when I peer out across the lake, the waves bedazzle like a freshly minted diamond. I realize that I am privileged to have such a peaceful experience without worrying about war, starvation, poverty, disability or something even worse than imaginable. Because of that, I'm sure  VR will evolve to match such an exclusive experience, if it hasn't already. I th...
