→ NEWS: (ꈍᴗꈍ)ε`*) Legacy Projects update
I think there's always this conflict for me as an artist to share my work online because it's nice to get people to see it, but sometimes the pressure of appeasing to what people will and will not like can be a one way ticket for someone to lose their authenticity--which is the path I'd hate to go on.
As someone with social anxiety, posting creative work online can be daunting because people literally are evaluating you.
I remember the first time when I posted my first set of song lyrics on a forum and was absolutely mortified that 10 people read it as soon as I posted it. I was grateful that people were seeing it, but shaking and quaking like no tomorrow.
Plus, there's that feeling where you put all your work into a post and see that you got less 'likes' or 'hearts' than you thought you would get. I can't help but feel my lungs sink back into my chest like a deflated balloon when that happens. It can be a super sadge moment for me, honestly.
Over time though, as I've gotten more comfortable in my identity, in my values and felt an increase in self-worth, I decided to take more chances in sharing my work online.
If you haven't noticed, there is a sidebar on the left side of the home page (click the 3 horizontal lines on the top-left corner of the home page) and a section titled "my work~".
In there, you'll (almost) all the work I've posted online as a creative explorer.
This includes, of course a new edition, which is my Deviantart/“Photography”~ which includes the photos on my Instagram that I want to make public to the world.
It also includes some stuff that I did in the past like poetry, digital art, mandala drawings and so forth.
Even if it is intimidating for me to post these online, I also enjoy finding and sharing with people who see some beauty in this harsh world as I do.
I hope that you enjoy these projects as much as I enjoy making them~
